SSC JE Recruitment 2025 – Apply Now for 1340 Vacancies in Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has rolled out the official recruitment notice for Junior Engineer (JE) 2025, offering a golden opportunity to engineers across India. A total of 1340 JE posts are available in various central government departments like CPWD, BRO, MES, NTRO, and more.

Important Dates:

  • Online Application Start: 30th June 2025

  • Last Date to Apply: 21st July 2025 (up to 11:00 PM)

  • Fee Payment Deadline: 22nd July 2025

  • Correction Window: 1st – 2nd August 2025

  • Paper-I Exam Dates: 27th to 31st October 2025

  • Paper-II (Descriptive): January–February 2026

Vacancy & Departments:

  • Total Posts: 1340

  • Engineering Disciplines: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical

  • Departments include:

    • Central Water Commission

    • CPWD

    • Border Roads Organisation (only male)

    • Military Engineering Services

    • DGQA, Ministry of Defence

    • Brahmaputra Board, NTRO, and others

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates must have either a Diploma or a Degree in the relevant engineering stream.
Some posts also require 2 years of field experience.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026):

  • Maximum: 30 or 32 years (depending on the department)

  • Age relaxation for reserved categories as per norms.

Application Fee:

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹100

  • SC/ST/Women/PwBD/ESM: Exempted

  • Payment Mode: Online only (BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card)

Selection Process:

  1. Paper-I (CBT):

    • General Intelligence: 50 marks

    • General Awareness: 50 marks

    • Engineering (Civil/Mech/Electrical): 100 marks

  2. Paper-II (CBT): Engineering Subject – 300 marks
    🔹 Negative Marking:

  • Paper-I: 0.25 marks/wrong answer

  • Paper-II: 1 mark/wrong answer

How to Apply:

Step 1: Visit the Official SSC Website

  • Go to the official SSC portal: https://ssc.gov.in

  • Navigate to the “Login” or “Register” section.

  • If you’re already registered, log in with your credentials.

  • New users should click on “Register” to create an account.


Step 2: Complete Aadhaar and Personal Details

  • Enter your Aadhaar Number and verify it using the OTP sent to your linked mobile number.

  • Fill in your personal details such as:

    • Full Name

    • Father’s and Mother’s Name

    • Board Name (Class 10th)

  • Provide your mobile number and email ID, and verify both using OTP.

  • Click on “Save & Next” to proceed.


Step 3: Set Login Credentials

  • You will receive a Registration Number and Password via SMS on your mobile.

  • Use these details to log in and then set a new password of your choice.

  • Log in again using your updated password.


Step 4: Complete the Application

  • Fill out your profile details completely.

  • After completing the profile, search for “Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination 2025” and click Apply.

  • Fill out the application form carefully.

  • Choose your preferred exam centres.

  • Upload the required documents:

    • Live Photograph

    • Scanned Signature (File size: 10 KB – 20 KB)

  • If you don’t have a webcam, you can complete the photo upload using the MySSC mobile app.


Step 5: Upload Photo & Signature via MySSC App

  • Download the MySSC app from the Google Play Store.

  • Log in and go to the Dashboard.

  • Navigate to “My Applications”.

  • Open your JE application and click “Save & Next”.

  • First, upload your scanned signature.

  • Then, take a live photo with a plain white background using your phone camera.

  • Once done, click Submit to complete the application.
