Selection Process
- Only candidates meeting the eligibility criteria and who have registered on the NIC portal are considered for further selection.
- A category-wise merit list is prepared for each discipline in order of GATE score.
- Equal weightage is given to GATE 2024, GATE 2025 and GATE 2026 scores; candidates submit their best valid score for the discipline applied.
- Tie-breaking criteria (in order): (1) the older-year GATE score ranks higher; (2) if score and year are the same, the older candidate by age ranks higher; (3) if still tied, the candidate with the higher percentage in the essential qualification ranks higher.
- Shortlisted candidates are called for Document Verification, as per vacancies, before a provisional appointment is offered.
- Non-appearance at document verification with original documents leads to rejection of candidature, with no additional time given.
- Document verification will be held at Delhi or another location/mode approved by the competent authority — no request for postponement or change of location will be entertained, and no TA/DA is paid.
