About the Recruitment
The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has invited applications for engagement on a contractual basis for the post of Training & Field Executive under the AIRBMP (Assam Integrated River Basin Management Project), a World Bank–financed initiative of the Government of Assam. The role falls under Sub-Component 3.3 (Circle Disaster Management) and involves supporting training, capacity building, and field-level coordination of Circle Quick Response Teams (CQRTs) across districts of Assam.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in Social Work, Disaster Management, Mass Communication, Sociology, Rural Development, or any other relevant field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of total experience in the social sector, including at least 3 years of specific experience in coordinating and managing Training and Capacity Building activities, preferably in Disaster Management, Disaster Preparedness, Community Organization, or Livelihoods.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, and coordinating training programs, field-level operations, stakeholder liaison, data collection, and reporting.
- Familiarity with World Bank, ADB, or other donor-funded projects, NGOs, and development agencies is preferable.
- Prior experience with first-responder training in the Disaster Management context, or work with Civil Defence, Home Guards, and Fire & Emergency Services, will be considered an added advantage.
- Certification in Civil Defence, Fire & Emergency Services training will also be considered an added advantage.
Key Competencies Required
- Strong project management, coordination, and stakeholder liaison skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, SPSS, and report generation
- Good communication skills in Assamese, English, and Hindi
- Willingness and physical fitness for extensive field travel within and outside Assam
Salary & Duration
- Remuneration: ₹70,000/- to ₹1,00,000/- per month (inclusive of local taxes), fixed during negotiation based on experience.
- Travel/Transit Expenses: Reimbursed on actuals with justified ceiling limits, as confirmed during contract negotiations.
- Contract Duration: 12 months, or co-terminus with the project timeline, whichever is earlier. Renewable based on performance and project requirement.
- Place of Posting: Full-time based at ASDMA office, Guwahati, with extensive travel to districts across Assam.
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will need to appear for a written test / interview at their own cost (no TA/DA will be paid). As part of the interview process, candidates must prepare an 8-minute presentation reflecting on a case study from their work experience, followed by a 10-minute interactive session. The presentation must be brought on a pen-drive on the day of the interview.
