About the Programme

This scholarship empowers girl students from disadvantaged backgrounds who studied in government schools, providing equal opportunities for higher education regardless of financial or academic constraints. It is backed by the Wipro Group.

  • 2024-25 (Pilot): Rolled out in over 100 districts across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, supporting 25,000+ girl students.
  • 2025-26: Expanded to 18 states and 1 Union Territory; over 1.95 lakh girl students supported so far.
  • 2026-27: Expanded further to 21 states/UTs with the addition of Andhra Pradesh and Delhi (NCT). The Foundation's long-term goal is to support 5 lakh girls every year, which — assuming an average 3-year course duration — would mean around 15 lakh girls on the scholarship at any given time.
