Selection Process
- 1st Stage CBT — screening test: 100 questions, 90 minutes (General Awareness 40, Mathematics 30, Reasoning 30), 1/3 negative marking.
- 2nd Stage CBT — 120 questions, 90 minutes (General Awareness 50, Mathematics 35, Reasoning 35). Candidates up to 15 times the community-wise vacancies of each RRB are shortlisted from CBT 1.
- Document Verification — 1:1 of vacancies, based on normalised CBT 2 marks.
- Medical Examination — A-2 / A-3 / B-2 / C-2 standard as per the post.
The pattern is the same for Graduate and UG. No Typing Skill Test and no Aptitude Test (CBAT) is listed this time for the Typist posts; typing proficiency is to be assessed after joining. Minimum qualifying marks: UR/EWS 40%, OBC-NCL/SC 30%, ST 25%. PwBD candidates get 120 minutes. The exam is available in English, Hindi and regional languages including Assamese, Bengali and Manipuri.
How to Apply for RRB NTPC 2026 (Graduate or UG)
- Go to rrbapply.gov.in. If you made an RRB account for earlier CENs, log in with the same credentials; otherwise create an account (details cannot be edited later).
- Authenticate your identity with DigiLocker or Aadhaar (strongly advised). Your name and date of birth in Aadhaar should match your 10th certificate exactly; update Aadhaar first if they differ.
- Select CEN 06/2026 (Graduate) or CEN 07/2026 (UG) and fill in educational, personal and category details.
- Choose only one RRB and your post/zone preferences. This cannot be changed.
- Capture a live photo (webcam or phone front camera) and upload your signature (JPG, 30–49 KB, black ink, running handwriting).
- Pay the fee online and submit before the last date (6 Nov Graduate / 13 Nov UG); complete fee payment by 8 Nov (Graduate) / 15 Nov (UG).
- Save the confirmation. Use the correction window if needed.
