Post Details
The Security Assistant/Executive (SA/Exe) post is a Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial role under the General Central Service. It involves crucial duties related to intelligence gathering and operational support. Selected candidates will be placed in various Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux (SIBs) across India.
Salary Structure
Pay Level: Level-3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) + applicable allowances
Special Allowance: 20% of basic pay as Special Security Allowance
Other Benefits: Compensatory off/cash for duty on holidays (up to 30 days)
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Matriculation (Class 10 pass) from a recognized board.
Domicile certificate of the concerned state.
Ability to read, write, and speak one of the local languages/dialects listed in the notification.
Desirable:
Field experience in intelligence work will be an added advantage.
Age Limit (as on 17 August 2025):
General: 18 to 27 years
Age Relaxation:
OBC – 3 years
SC/ST – 5 years
Central Govt Employees – up to 40 years
Widows/divorced – up to 35–40 years
Ex-servicemen & sportspersons – As per norms
Age will be calculated based on the last date of application i.e. 17.08.2025

Selection Process – 3 Tier Examination
The recruitment will be conducted in three stages:
Tier-I: Online Objective Test
100 MCQs covering:
General Awareness
Quantitative Aptitude
Logical Reasoning
English
General Studies
Duration: 1 Hour
Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
Tier-II: Descriptive Language Test
Translation of a 500-word passage:
From regional language to English and vice versa
Marks: 50 (Qualifying – 20 marks minimum)
Tier-III: Interview/Personality Test
Total Marks: 50
Final merit will be based on Tier-I + Tier-III scores
Examination Centres
Candidates must select 5 preferred cities for the Tier-I exam. Some of the major cities include:
