Eligibility Criteria
For School Students (Classes 6–12)
- Must be studying in a recognized private or government-aided school
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹2,50,000
For College/University Students
- Must be pursuing degree/diploma/vocational training in recognized institution (UGC/AICTE approved)
- Annual family income cap: ₹2,50,000
For general postgraduate courses
- The students must be pursuing postgraduation courses (general courses - MCom, MA, etc.) in recognized colleges or universities in India.
- Annual family income cap: ₹2,50000
For professional postgraduate courses
- The students must be pursuing postgraduation courses ( professional courses - MTech, MBA, etc.) in recognized colleges or universities in India.
- Annual family income cap: ₹2,50000
General Requirements
- Indian citizen and resident
- Only one application per family
- Must be facing a genuine family crisis
Crisis Situations Covered
- Loss of earning family member (bereavement)
- Terminal illness in family
- Permanent disability affecting income
- Job loss due to accident or crisis
- Other major financial hardships
Scholarship Benefits
- School Students: Up to ₹15,000-18000 per year
- College/University Students: Up to ₹30000-50000 per year
- PG Students: Up to 30000-75000
- Funds cover tuition, exam fees, library, lab, and academic charges
- Non-transferable between institutions
Application Process

- Click The Apply Now according to your Qualification.
- Login to Buddy4Study with your registered ID and land onto the ‘Application Form Page’.
- If not registered - Register at Buddy4Study with your Email/Mobile/Gmail account.
- You will now be redirected to the ‘HDFC Bank Parivartan’s ECSS Scholarship Programme 2025-26’ application form page.
- Click on the ‘Start Application’ button to begin the application process.
- Fill in the required details in the online application form.
- Upload relevant documents
- Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and click on ‘Preview’.
- If all the details filled in the application are correctly showing on the preview screen, click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the application process.
Required Documents
- Income Proof (Employer certificate / Self-declaration)
- School/College verification form with marksheets
- Student photograph
- Class 10/12 mark sheets
- Two address proofs (Aadhaar, Ration Card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.)
- Bank account details of institution

Selection Process
- Evaluation by senior HDFC Bank panel
- Assessment based on crisis severity, financial need, and academic record
- Preference to critical illness cases, single-parent families, rural students, differently-abled
- Results communicated via phone/email, funds disbursed directly to institutions
