The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2026 is run by the LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation (GJF) for meritorious students from Economically Weaker Sections who want to continue higher studies. Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria
General Scholarship (after Class 12 / Diploma)
- Passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in 2023-24, 2024-25 or 2025-26.
- Taken first-year admission in 2026-27 in Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS), Engineering (BE, BTech, BArch), any graduation course, integrated course, diploma, vocational course or ITI.
- Parents/guardian annual income from all sources not more than ₹4,50,000.
- Diploma holders who take lateral entry to 2nd year Engineering, or regular 1st year Engineering after Diploma, can apply if they passed Diploma with 60% in 2023-24, 2024-25 or 2025-26.
Special Scholarship (after Class 10)
- Passed Class 10 (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks in 2023-24, 2024-25 or 2025-26.
- Taken admission in 2026-27 in first year of Intermediate / 10+2, Vocational, Diploma or ITI course.
- Parents/guardian annual income not more than ₹4,50,000.

- Scholarship continues for the full duration of the course (excluding internship/stipend period), subject to renewal conditions.
- First instalment is due on selection (scheme date: 1 September 2026); second instalment is due 1 February 2027.
- For the second instalment you must submit 1st semester result or attendance certificate.
- Money is credited by NEFT to your active bank account.

If selected, show originals to the Divisional Office for verification, and provide bank account details with IFSC and a copy of cancelled cheque in your name. Copies attested by any LIC Branch In-Charge are accepted.

- Fill all fields (every field is mandatory). If your board gives grades, enter the equivalent percentage.
- Enter correct bank details, an active mobile number and a valid email ID. LIC communicates only by email.
- Upload income certificate, marksheet and admission proof.
- Check everything and submit. You will get an acknowledgement email with application number and the name of your Divisional Office.

Selection Process
- Your application goes automatically to one of LIC’s 112 Divisions based on your address PIN code.
- Candidates with income up to ₹4.5 lakh are ranked strictly on marks in Class 12 / Class 10.
- Tie in marks: preference to lower parental income. Still tied: LIC’s financial assessment decides.
- Each Division selects 40 boys + 40 girls for General Scholarship and 20 boys + 20 girls for Special Scholarship (slots are interchangeable if one gender is short).
- Processing is in two phases, preliminary and final. Shortlisted students are contacted by the Divisional Office for document verification.
- Selected students are informed by email. LIC does not entertain status queries.
Renewal Rules: How to Keep the Scholarship

- Passing any subject with grace marks, or clearing a failed subject in a later semester, makes you ineligible.
- Regular class attendance is compulsory.
- If you change college, inform your Divisional Office immediately with leaving/transfer certificate and marksheet.
- Scholarship is generally for one student per family. Two are allowed if the later applicant is a girl or both are girls.
- False certificates lead to cancellation and recovery of the amount paid.
