IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the notification for the 15th Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs-XV), inviting applications for 13,745 posts of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officer Scale-I, Scale-II and Scale-III across 28 participating Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) nationwide. This is a separate recruitment drive from IBPS Clerk/CSA (CRP CSA-XVI), which covers Public Sector Banks — IBPS RRB instead recruits exclusively for Regional Rural (Gramin) Banks, which primarily serve rural and semi-urban India.

Following the “One State-One RRB” consolidation, several RRBs were renamed ahead of this cycle, including Assam Gramin Bank (formerly Assam Gramin Vikash Bank/AGVB), Chhattisgarh Gramin Bank, Haryana Gramin Bank, Jharkhand Gramin Bank, Kerala Grameena Bank, and Puducherry Grama Bank.
Note: Vacancies are indicative and subject to change based on actual requirements reported by the participating RRBs closer to the allotment stage.

IBPS cautions that some specialist streams (e.g. Law Officer, Treasury Manager) carry very few seats nationally, with little to no reservation in certain categories — check the official Annexure before choosing a stream.
For Assam candidates: Assam Gramin Bank has reported 352 indicative vacancies — 181 Office Assistant, 169 Officer Scale-I, 1 Officer Scale-II (IT Officer) and 1 Officer Scale-II (Treasury Manager). The prescribed local languages for Assam Gramin Bank are Assamese, Bengali and Bodo, and the exam medium includes English, Hindi and Assamese.
