Candidates who selected “Upgrade” or “Upgrade within the same institute” should report only after the 2nd counselling result is declared. Candidates newly allotted seats in the 2nd Round of Counselling must also report after that result is declared.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Minimum 17 years as on 31 December 2026. There is no upper age limit.
- Residency: Candidate must be an Indian citizen holding a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Assam. Non-PRC candidates may apply only under the Central Government Employee (CGE) quota with proof of permanent residency from their home state.
- Academic Qualification: Passed 10+2 in a single sitting with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the qualifying subjects, passing separately in theory and practical, as per AICTE norms.
- Alternate route: Candidates holding a 3-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology from the State Council for Technical Education, Assam, with 45% (40% reserved category) marks are also eligible.
- Entrance Score: A valid rank in Assam CEE-2026 is mandatory.
- Candidate must be of good moral character and physically/mentally fit.
