Official Context
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), under Government of India, will conduct an Open Competitive Computer Based Examination for recruitment to:
- Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (Group B, Non-Gazetted)
- Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (Group C)
Recruitment is for various Ministries, Departments, Attached/Subordinate Offices, and Statutory Bodies across India.

Detailed Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10–15 years
- ESM: 3 years after service deduction
- Central Govt Employees: up to 40/45 years
- Widows/Divorced Women: up to 35/40 years
Educational Qualification
- Must pass 12th or equivalent
- Cut-off Date: 01 August 2026
- Open/Distance degrees valid if UGC approved
