What is this Scheme?

The Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme is a new financial assistance programme launched by the Government of Assam to support fresh graduates and research scholars. It offers ₹2,500 per month for one year to fresh graduates (2025 pass-outs) and a one-time grant of ₹25,000–₹50,000 to research scholars to help them in job search, competitive exam preparation, or self-employment.

Eligibility – Who can apply?

• Permanent residents of Assam.
• Graduates of the year 2025 from Government/Public institutions located in Assam.
• Graduates from open universities or private institutions are not eligible.
• Applicants must be unemployed at the time of application.
• For the research grant: full-time registered research scholars (PhD) in Assam Govt/State/Central institutions.
• Differently-abled research scholars are eligible for higher grant benefits.

Benefits – Financial Assistance

• For Fresh Graduates: ₹2,500 per month for one year.
• For Research Scholars: One-time grant of ₹25,000.
• Differently-abled Scholars: One-time grant up to ₹50,000.

This is short-term financial assistance to support youth during the transition from education to employment, not a permanent stipend.

6. Track your application status through the same portal.

Important Reminders & Exclusions

• Only fresh 2025 graduates from Govt/Public institutions in Assam are eligible.
• Private or open-university graduates are excluded.
• Beneficiaries of other overlapping Assam youth schemes may be ineligible.
• If you secure a job, you may lose eligibility for further stipend payments.
• Incorrect bank details will delay or cancel DBT transfer.
