What is ITEP (Integrated Teacher Education Programme)?

The Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) is a 4-year dual-degree undergraduate programme introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which combines a Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in a single integrated course. It replaces the earlier 3-year Graduation + 2-year B.Ed. route, allowing students to become professionally qualified school teachers in 4 years instead of 5, saving both time and cost. On successful completion, students receive a dual-major degree combining a chosen academic discipline with professional teacher training, along with grounding in pedagogy, psychology, foundational literacy and numeracy, as required under NEP 2020.

B.Ed. integrated programmes. Seat availability across these Assam colleges is comparatively high, making the state a strong option for students with moderate NCET scores as well.

Exact seat matrix, subject combinations and cut-offs vary by college and are notified separately by each participating institution as per their own institutional admission policy.
