To apply for a PAN card from home in 2025, you can follow the following steps-
Step 1:
Visit Official PAN Application Website
There are two government-authorized portals:
NSDL e-Gov: https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html
UTIITSL: https://www.pan.utiitsl.com
You can apply through either.
Step 2:
Select Application Type
Choose:
Form 49A – For Indian Citizens
Form 49AA – For Foreign Citizens (if applicable)
Step 3:
Fill the PAN Application Form
Provide the following details:
Full Name (As per Aadhaar)
Date of Birth
Gender
Aadhaar Number (Mandatory for e-KYC)
Address
Mobile Number & Email ID
Please make sure to note down your token number for future reference
Step 4:
Choose e-KYC or Manual Mode
e-KYC (Aadhaar based): No need to upload documents
Manual Upload: Upload scanned documents (Proof of Identity, Address & DOB)
Step 5:
Upload Photo & Signature
Only if manual mode is chosen.
Sign on white paper & upload scanned image.
Step 6:
Pay Application Fee
₹107 (within India)
₹1,020 (if communication address is abroad)

Step 7:
e-Sign (Using Aadhaar OTP)
If Aadhaar linked to your mobile, you can verify instantly.
An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Step 8:
Submit the Form
After successful e-sign or upload, submit the form.
You’ll get:
Acknowledgment Number
Option to download Acknowledgement Receipt (PDF)
Step 9:
Track PAN Application Status
Track using:
Acknowledgement Number on NSDL or UTIITSL portal
PAN Card usually delivered within 7-15 working days.
