Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the minimum qualification of Class VIII standard. Candidates who have passed HSSLC (Class 12) or above are not eligible to apply for these posts. Candidates with special skills may be given preference on a need basis.

Nationality

Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Employment Exchange Registration

Candidates should have a valid Registration of Employment Exchange of Assam.

Candidates Already in Government Service

Candidates already in service should apply through the proper channel.

Age Limit

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of Assam rules.

How to Apply for Dibrugarh CJM Recruitment 2026

1. Fill up the Standard Form as published in Part-IX of the Assam Gazette.
2. Attach self-attested copies of all testimonials regarding educational qualification, age, and caste.
3. Attach 2 (two) recent passport-size photographs, self-attested — one pasted on the form and one stapled with it.
4. On the envelope, clearly write in block letters: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ___________” (mention the specific post).
5. Address the envelope to: The Chief Judicial Magistrate, Near Phoolbagan, A.T. Road, Dibrugarh – 786001.
6. Submit the completed application either in the Drop Box at the CJM Office, Dibrugarh, or send it by post to the above address, before the last date.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be called to appear in a Viva-Voce (interview) test. The date will be notified later only on the official website — https://dibrugarh.dcourts.gov.in/. No separate call letter will be issued, so candidates must keep checking the official website regularly. No TA/DA (Travelling Allowance / Dearness Allowance) will be provided for attending the viva-voce.
