The Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training (DECT), Assam, under the Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, Government of Assam, conducts Spot Admission rounds after the regular e-counselling rounds to fill remaining vacant seats in Government and Private Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the state for the 2026-27 session. After completing five rounds of regular e-counselling and two earlier spot admission rounds, DECT Assam has now opened the 3rd Spot Admission round, applicable only to SCVT Trades, with registration open from 13 August to 20 August 2026 at the official portal, itiassam.admissions.nic.in.

Candidates who have not yet secured admission, or who wish to try for a seat in the remaining vacant trades/institutes, can register during this spot round. Selection continues to be purely merit-based, with no separate entrance examination.

Admission is offered under the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) across NCVT/CoE trades, SCVT trades, and trades run by IMC (Institute Management Committee) in select ITIs. For the 2026-27 session, several new-age trades have been introduced, including:

Important: Draughtsman (Civil) NCVT trade at Govt. Regional ITI for Women, Tinsukia has been de-affiliated by DGT. Candidates are advised not to select this trade, and those who have already chosen it should modify their selection immediately, as no seat allotment will be made against it.
