Position Details

  • Post: Junior Engineer (Soil Conservation Department)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

  • Residency: Permanent resident of Assam. Proof required:

    • Valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued for educational purposes, or

    • Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.

  • Educational Qualification:

    • 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering from a government-recognized institution.

    • Only regular diploma courses are eligible; distance education diplomas are not accepted.

    • Required documents: All semester/year mark sheets and certificates reflecting relevant subjects.

  • Age Limit:

    • 18 to 40 years as of January 1, 2025.

    • Note: The document contains a contradictory mention of a “1-year Diploma Course,” which appears to be an error. The correct requirement is a 3-year Diploma in Civil or Agricultural Engineering.

  • Health: Candidates must be in sound physical health and may need to undergo a medical examination if selected.

Application Process

  • How to Apply:

    1. Submit applications exclusively online via https://apscrecruitment.in/

    2. New users must complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the APSC recruitment portal with a valid and active email address.

    3. Submit only one application per candidate. If multiple applications are submitted, ensure the application with the highest Application Number is complete, including fee payment (fees are non-transferable).

    4. Candidates without debit card/internet banking can apply through Common Service Centers (CSCs).

  • Required Documents (to be uploaded during application and produced at interview):

    • Proof of age (Class X/XII certificate or admit card indicating date of birth).

    • Diploma certificates and mark sheets for all academic years.

    • Permanent Resident Certificate or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.

    • Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates, issued by a competent authority).

    • BPL certificate (if applicable).

    • Declaration Form-A (Assam Public Services Small Family Norms, per notification No. ABP 69/2019/17, dated November 9, 2019).

    • Identity proof (e.g., PAN Card, Driving License, Passport, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, or current educational institution ID).

  • Important Notes:

    • Upload all documents before final submission; no documents will be accepted post-submission.

    • Ensure accuracy in the application to avoid rejection.

    • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

Selection Process

  • The selection procedure will be detailed later via a corrigendum/addendum on the APSC website.

  • Candidates may need to attend a Screening/Written Test and/or Viva-Voce Interview at a designated location.

  • The Commission does not cover travel or other expenses for interviews.

  • Results will be announced on the APSC website or through newspapers. Interim inquiries about results will not be entertained.
