The Office of the District Commissioner, Kamrup, Amingaon (Land Revenue Branch) has invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for filling up 55 (fifty-five) vacant posts of Gaon Pradhan in villages under various Revenue Circles of Kamrup District. 🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying Age

Candidate must not be less than 30 years as on 1st January 2026.
Age will be calculated based on Birth Certificate issued by competent authority, or HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by recognised Board/Council. No other document accepted.

Educational Qualification

Minimum 10th (HSLC) passed from a Board/Institution recognised by the State/Central Government.

Other Eligibility Conditions

Must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of the area for which appointment is sought.
Must be physically fit and of sound mind.
Must not have been declared insolvent or a defaulter in payment of Govt. dues (Bakijai Clearance Certificate required).
Must not be a government employee.
Must not be a member of any political party.
Must have land or immovable property in his/her name in the village where appointment as Gaon Pradhan is sought.
Preference given to family members of the outgoing Gaon Pradhan; views of the Mouzadar shall also be considered.
Candidate should be a person of high status, command, and respectable position in society.
Must not have more than 2 (two) living children from a single or multiple partners (as per Govt. of Assam Notification dated 19-07-2019, No. RLR.187/2007/Pt/24), supported by a self-affidavit.

✅ How to Apply: Applications must be submitted in the prescribed Standard Form, “Part IX of the Assam Gazette” — no other form will be entertained. Duly filled applications along with self-attested documents must be deposited in the Application Receiving Box, Land Revenue Branch, Integrated District Commissioner’s Office, Kamrup, Amingaon (1st Floor), from the date of publication of the advertisement up to 20th August 2026, during office hours.

🎤 Selection Process & Other Conditions

The date and venue of the Viva Voce Interview will be notified later through Circle offices, Mouzadar offices, and the District Commissioner Kamrup official website (www.kamrup.assam.gov.in).
Candidates must carry all testimonials in original and photocopy at the time of interview.
No request for another interview date will be entertained if a candidate fails to attend on the scheduled date.
Eligible candidates scoring the highest marks in the Viva Voce will be selected as Gaon Pradhan for the concerned village.
All appointments will be made after Police Verification report as per procedure.
The decision of the District Commissioner regarding eligibility or otherwise of a candidate shall be final.
