π© Women Reservation: 30% of seats in each ITI are reserved for women candidates with preference. If seats are not utilised, they may be filled by male candidates in co-education ITIs.
If reserved-category seats remain unfilled, they will be opened to unreserved candidates from the 4th/5th counselling round onwards.
Selection Procedure
- Selection is entirely merit-based β no separate entrance examination.
- Seats allotted on marks in the Entry Qualification Examination (Class 8 or 10) along with reservation rules in force.
- Tie-breaker order: Mathematics marks β English marks β System Randomization.
- For Engineering & Non-Engineering Trades, candidates must have passed with Mathematics & English.
- EWS candidates must produce a valid Family Income Certificate as EWSs issued by the Competent Authority of Assam.
- Divyang (PwD) candidates must produce a Trade Suitability Certificate from National Career Service Centre for Differently Able, ITI Guwahati campus, Gopinath Nagar.
- CBSE (CGPA pattern) students must convert marks by multiplying CGPA by 9.5. No grade allowed in marks table.
- Seat upgrade allowed up to 5th e-counselling, if not frozen.
- Candidates not reporting within 15 days of commencement of classes will have their seat cancelled.
